We are giving our web site a bit of an overhaul, so over the next few weeks you'll start seeing some changes that will hopefully make it even easier for you to use.

We shall be adding some new products. The Velvet Box will contain a wonderful selection of plain, printed, devore and puffa velvets in different colours. We shall have a habadashery section and we are introducing a range of Nottingham Laces. We also intend to introduce many more printed silks that will coordinate with our plains.

Another exciting addition to our web site will be a directory of dressmakers by area. We would very much appreciate your input into this, so if you have used somebody who you would like to recommend, then please send us their details and we will contact them to see if they would like to be included. We hope that this will develop into a really useful resource for everyone.

The exhibition 'Rude Britannia' opens at Tate Modern this week and we have produced the silk scarf that has been specially designed by Gerald Scarfe to accompany the exhibition.

Are you an experienced hand roller of scarves?

We are looking for experienced hand rollers to supplement our small team of sewers. There would be good continuity of work throughout the year and we pay a fair rate.
