If your group has an interest in FASHION, TEXTILES or DECORATIVE ARTS, or is simply interested in getting a 'behind the scenes' look at one of the few textile printers in the UK, then we are sure you will enjoy a visit to Beckford Silk.

We have many years of experience in hosting guided tours and talks for WI groups, Townswomen's Guilds, Art Clubs and the like and are happy to accommodate any sized group from just one or two people up to 50.

We start off in our reception area that seats up to 30 people (larger parties are split into two groups) with an introduction and history of the company, an explanation of how we develop the designs and how we then transfer them on to screen. We then move upstairs to watch the production printing in progress before moving back downstairs to the workshops where the steaming, dye making and finishing is carried out. The tour lasts about an hour and is very much tailored to the interests of the individual group.

Although production printing is now upstairs with no disabled access, if you let us know, we can arrange demonstration printing downstairs so that none of your group misses out.

Group size	The maximum number we can accommodate is 50. Groups of 30+ are split into two, each with their own guide, and are staggered around the building.

Duration	The tour itself lasts about an hour (allow 11/2 hrs for a split group) but don't forget to leave yourselves time to browse in the shop and perhaps enjoy a cup of coffee.

Refreshments	The Coffee Shop seats 24 and offers light refreshments. Contact Julie Rayton on 0779 6034799.

Fee	For groups of 10 or less, the charge is £35. For larger groups up to 50, the cost is £3.50 per head. We ask for a deposit of £35 when you book, with the balance (for groups of 10 or more only) payable on the day. In the case of cancellation we will refund your deposit in full, up to one week prior to the booking date.
